I have known Faith Gibson Hubbard for more than a decade. We have frequently worked together on shared goals related to students and families navigating public education in DC.
I first met Faith when she served as President of the Ward Five Council on Education and was advocating hard for the children of Ward 5 to have access to quality schools from PK through high school. We’ve since worked together during her time as the Chief Student Advocate for Education and the Interim Ombudsman for Education and my work as a consultant and State Board of Education member. Through each of her roles, Faith has always kept the needs of children and families at the center of her work. I know she will bring that same energy and focus to the Council, for the children and families of Ward 5 and all across the District.
