I first met Faith when I was president of the Woodridge Civic Association; I served in that position for 20 years. Faith and her family became very involved and 10 years ago her husband took over as president – allowing me to retire. The Civic Association is a member of the Ward Five Council on Education, which Faith led. Through her role as president of the Ward Five Council on Education, I saw her work ethic and how passionate she is about our community. One thing is clear: Faith and her family are deeply invested in this community and in Ward 5.
Faith has always been someone who wants to level the playing field. She doesn’t want anyone left behind. When working through an issue, Faith will do her homework, evaluate the factors objectively, and she will bring people together around a solution that can benefit the whole community. She is a big-picture thinker who also pays attention to the details. I was one of the people who encouraged Faith to run for the Ward 5 DC Council seat, because I know she will work hard for us on the DC Council.
I am urging all Ward 5 residents, whether you are multi-generational or new to the area, to make the best choice for our communities – we must elect Faith Gibson Hubbard as the next Ward 5 DC Councilmember.

Neighbors and friends,
I am so proud to be endorsed by Mr. Hood. He has been a long time leader and contributor to our community, along with his family. He led the Woodridge Civic Association for 20 years! I admire his family’s commitment to strengthening our community and my family has enjoyed building with his and others in our Woodridge neighborhood. Ward 5 is our forever home because of people like Mr. Hood!
Thank you, Mr. Hood, for all the ways you have supported me, my family and our community!
In partnership,
Faith Gibson Hubbard
